1. What B-LINE is
B-LINE is a technology and intermediation service. It helps people who play backgammon discover each other and agree to meet and play face to face.
B-LINE is not an online game, a marketplace, a dating service or a social network. B-LINE does not organise, host, referee or supervise physical matches, and it is not a party to any arrangement you make with another user.
2. Eligibility
B-LINE is an 18+ service. You may only create an account if you are 18 years old or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own conduct, on the platform and in person. Decisions about whether, when and where to meet another user are entirely yours.
B-LINE does not verify or guarantee any user's identity, background, behaviour or intentions. Information shown on B-LINE is provided by users themselves.
4. Meeting other players
Meeting people you have not met before carries risk, and you assume that risk when you choose to meet.
We strongly recommend meeting in public places, telling someone you trust where you are going, and ending any meeting you are not comfortable with.
5. Prohibited conduct
The following is not permitted on B-LINE:
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or abusive behaviour
- Impersonating another person or creating an account for someone else
- Using B-LINE while under 18, or helping a minor to access the service
- Unlawful gambling, fraud, scams or any illegal activity
- Commercial solicitation, spam or automated scraping of the service
- Publishing another person's private information without consent
6. Reporting and blocking
B-LINE provides mechanisms to report and block other users. We may review reports and, where appropriate, restrict, suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.
We may act on reports at our discretion. We are not able to guarantee any particular outcome or response time, and reporting a user does not replace contacting local authorities where that is warranted.
7. Your account
Registration is free. You may stop using B-LINE and request deletion of your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that create risk for other users.
8. Service availability
B-LINE is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, and access may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, B-LINE is not liable for the conduct of users, for what happens during meetings arranged through the service, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version applicable at the time you registered is recorded with your consent record, and we will ask for renewed acceptance where a change materially affects you.
